Decide where to meet

Agree on a nearby meeting place and a place outside the neighborhood. Locations remain subject to current safety instructions. Choose an out-of-area contact and keep their details on paper and phones. Confirm that each person agrees to the role.

Work through an ordinary day

Consider where people are during school, work and other regular commitments. Confirm school or childcare release procedures and authorized pickup people. Decide who helps children, pets and anyone with access needs. Choose backups for people who travel or work away.

Keep the message simple

A sample check-in is: “I am safe. I am at our agreed place. Next check-in at ___.” Decide your own wording and a fallback interval together. Avoid private medical details in routine messages.

Make the plan available offline

Write down the contacts and agreed locations. Protect printed sheets and exported files; they can contain sensitive information. This website has no household upload form. Do not send completed private worksheets to product support.

One useful task today

Choose your out-of-area contact, confirm the role with them and put the number on everyone’s paper copy. Practice the plan together and update it when circumstances change.

For choosing whether to shelter or leave, follow current local official instructions. A worksheet does not make that decision.
